Pyongyang, March 15 (KCNA) -- South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK directs big efforts to the farming on low-yielding fields while stepping up the immediate farming.
The provincial rural economy committee has introduced high-yielding seeds suited to the geographical features to make progress in the farming on low-yielding fields. New strains of rice and wheat were introduced to provide a guarantee for high and stable yield.
The province makes sure that right species are planted in right fields on the basis of analysis of the soil features of low-yielding fields.
The work is going on to introduce various advanced cultivation methods and techniques into the farming on low-yielding fields and generalize the experience gained by those units which have been successful in the farming on low-yielding fields.
A short course on the Juche farming methods was given for agricultural workers and the work to inform them of technical issues arising in the farming in low-yielding fields is regularly organized.
