The National Emergency Response Committee held a meeting through video conferencing on the 21st.
The meeting was guided by Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Jon Hyon Chol, Secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK.
Present at the meeting were members of the National Emergency Response Committee, senior officials of the commissions, ministries and national agencies and officials of the provincial, city and county Party and government organs.
Also on hand were Minister of National Defence Kang Sun Nam and other officials of the armed forces organs.
The meeting reviewed the work for coping with natural disaster and the work of the members of the committee last year.
A report was made.
Detailed assignments were given to the members of the committee at the meeting.
