It was one autumn day several years ago.
Some officials were summoned by the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.
While going to him, the officials were inquiring because the respected General Secretary told them to come in working wear.
Greeting them with a smile, the respected General Secretary said that he was going to lay new sorts of turfs on a trial plot together with them.
The officials felt shock by the fact that the General Secretary had laid turfs and grown them in person for many years after arranging a trial plot.
After a while, explaining about the new sorts of turfs which have great resistance to cold, heat and drought, the General Secretary said that he was going to select a good sort of turf suitable for the climate and natural features of our country and spread it throughout the country after trying them all.
Then he personally taught them in detail the method of sowing the turf seeds.
The officials started sowing as taught by him, however, they were awkward in doing it as they did it for the first time.
Looking around them, the General Secretary said that it was important to lay more turfs to green the city and the city will look different when the good sorts of turfs were planted in it on a great scale including the evergreen one.
And he hurried with his work.
That day he gave meaningful words to the officials.
He said that officials should not pay lip-service to following Kim Jong Il’s patriotism but plant much land-creeping plants like turfs in their residential cities and districts and working sites thus removing naked land, adding it was his plan and resolution to green not only Pyongyang City but also other cities and farms together with the mountains and fields across the country.
Like this he implanted deep in the hearts of the officials and all people with the unshakable patriotism, while planting turfs that day.
