The Spring National Footwear Exhibition-2023 opened under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Light Industry.
The exhibition is aimed at sharing and diffusing sci-tech successes and experiences gained in footwear production, and further fueling the zeal for competition in improving quality, true to the Party’s intention to improve the quality of products and direct efforts to expanding their varieties.
On display there were over 200 000 articles of footwear in over 930 kinds from scores of units, including Ryuwon Footwear Factory, Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory, Sinuiju Footwear Factory, Sunchon Leather Shoes Factory, Sosong Songdo Leather Shoes Company and Sochon Haedong Factory, and more than 40 research findings achieved in the footwear industry.
The exhibition is to be held in the form of technical exchange such as experience-sharing, sci-tech presentation and symposium, people’s estimation of products through the sale of the goods on display, and deliberation of the jury.
Its opening ceremony took place at the Pyongyang Yokjon Department Store on March 24.
Present there were Vice-premier Ri Song Hak, Minister Kim Chang Sok of Light Industry, officials concerned and officials that presented exhibits, lecturers, researchers, technicians, three-revolution team members.
Ri Song Hak made an opening address.
After the ceremony the participants looked round the exhibition.
