Anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il ’s Field Guidance to Int’l Children’s Camp Marked in DPRK

A meeting took place on the spot on March 29 to mark the 30th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il’s field guidance to the Songdowon International Children’s Camp.
A report was made at the meeting attended by Kim Chol, secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and officials and teaching staff of the camp.
The reporter noted that Kim Jong Il visited the remodeled camp on March 30, Juche 82 (1993) to learn in detail about the construction process, accommodation and cultural and amusement facilities and gave precious instructions for its management and operation.
The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un, fully possessed of Kim Jong Il’s noble outlook on the younger generation and future, turned the camp into a children’s palace without equal in the world and a comprehensive base for extracurricular education for children, the reporter said.
The reporter called upon all the teaching staff of the camp to improve the organization and management of the camp, bearing in mind the intention of Kim Jong Un, and thus contribute to training schoolchildren into pillars of the country knowledgeable, virtuous and healthy.
