Finals of National Sports Contest of Workers in Metallurgical Industry Sector-2023 Held

The finals of the national sports contest of workers in the metallurgical industry sector-2023 took place at Kim Il Sung Stadium on May Day, the international holiday of working people of the whole world.
Among the spectators were Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, and other senior Party, government and military officials, labour innovators in the metallurgical industry sector and other working people in the capital city of Pyongyang.
Divided into groups from eastern and western areas of the country, the contest started on April 23 and was decided on a knockout basis.
In the football final between the teams from the Chollima Steel Complex and the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, the former defeated its rival 2-0.
In the tug-of-war event, the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex team defeated the Songjin Steel Complex 2-0.
