Amidst the vigorous campaign for grand construction to achieve the goal of building dwelling houses set forth at the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, modern apartment houses have been built in the Taephyong area in the capital city of Pyongyang.
A new unique architectural group consists of multi-storey and high-rise apartment houses of various styles, a school, clinic and various public service facilities to provide residents with every convenience in their living. It is the fruition of ardent love of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who makes efforts to provide people with a stable and happy life.
Its inauguration ceremony took place on May 21.
It was attended by Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, Jon Hyon Chol, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, Pak Hun, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials of relevant sectors, working people to be provided with new houses, and builders.
Kim Tok Hun delivered an inaugural address.
Noting that the housing construction in the Taephyong area which had been promoted under the special concern of Kim Jong Un has been brought to completion and the evacuees would move into new houses, he warmly congratulated them on behalf of the WPK Central Committee and the government of the Republic.
He expressd his expectation that the owners of new houses would cherish their joy deep in mind and carry out their tasks more faithfully for prosperity of the country.
Wishing harmony and fortune to all families, he declared the inauguration of dwelling houses in the Taephyong area.
After the ceremony, the participants looked round the houses, a school, kindergarten and public service facilities.
