Why He Was Most Pleased
One day the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un provided field guidance to a tree nursery run by a unit of the Korean People’s Army.
During his tour, what pleased him most was that almost every facility of the tree nursery were homemade ones.
At first, officials had planned to import the facilities from a foreign country with advanced tree-nursing technology.
But our scientists and technicians decided to manufacture facilities better than alien ones on their own force and made painful efforts to contrive them. Thus they succeeded in developing our-style facilities while building an integrated production system.
The respected General Secretary who took the successes so laudable looked round every facility and the integrated production system and highly appreciated the scientists and technicians of the State Academy of Sciences.
He said that it was a proud success that they have manufactured the facilities necessary for the tree nursery on our own efforts and technology.
On the day, the respected General Secretary highly appreciated that the tree nursery was the one which excellently embodied the requirement of the Party to fully demonstrate the principle of giving priority to self-development and whose level of modernization was high.
Listening to his repeated appraisals, the officials kept deep in their mind that the self-reliance was the powerful weapon for the development and prosperity of the country.
His Intention Reflected in His Appraisal
In June, Juche 105(2016), the respected General Secretary inspected the Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory irrespective of bad weather.
Looking round several production processes, he warmly said that what pleased him in particular was the fact that the technical forces of the factory took the van of creative struggle to raise the proportion of domestic equipment by manufacturing necessary equipment for itself.
That day, he said that each production process was equipped with up-to-date facilities designed by our scientists and technicians and made by our own hands stressing the need to inform the visitors to the factory that he had appraised all the facilities of the factory as handsome men.
Officials of the factory, looking upon him, were resolved to keep displaying the honor of pioneer in the struggle for improvement of people’s living under the aloft banner of self-reliance.
