Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a letter "Let Us Usher in a New Golden Age of the Movement of Koreans in Japan True to the Intention of the Great Comrade Kim Jong Il" to the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and Japan-resident Koreans on May 25, Juche 104 (2015) on the occasion of the 60th founding anniversary of Chongryon.
The letter is an immortal programme to be constantly held fast to in further developing Chongryon into a powerful Juche-based overseas compatriots' organization shining with the august name of the sun.
In the letter, Kim Jong Un formulated the course covered by Chongryon as a brilliant history of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il's idea and wise guidance on the Juche-oriented overseas compatriots' movement and a history of benevolence associated with their noble love for the nation and compatriotism, and stressed the need for Chongryon to do all its work as intended and wished by the great leaders.
He also comprehensively indicated the main work orientation, major tasks and ways for ushering in a new heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan.
His important letter gave boundless confidence and courage to Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan and encouraged the ceaseless development of the movement of Koreans in Japan.
Chongryon organizations and affiliates at all levels are creating a new spirit and new appearance of the movement of Koreans in Japan by dint of innovative insight and seasoned and skilled work methods.
Chongryon has built up its local headquarters and branches in all parts where the Korean compatriots live and rallied compatriots from all walks of life to its affiliated organizations of different strata and enterprises.
The national education system, ranging from kindergarten to university, has been established in a well-regulated way to train patriotic talents who will shoulder the future, and the excellent culture and good manners and customs of the Korean nation are given full play under the uplifted slogan of the Korean-nation-first principle.
They are striving to defend and expand all the rights to be enjoyed by Koreans as overseas citizens of a sovereign state, while resolutely struggling against all sorts of discrimination measures and inhuman acts that infringe upon the rights and interests of the compatriots.
It is the high pride of the DPRK that Chongryon is demonstrating its honor as a patriotic pioneer and a model of the world overseas compatriots' movement, flying the flag of the DPRK in the sky above foreign soil.
