Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the machine industrial sector of the DPRK are registering successes in the production of tractors and various kinds of farm machines to be sent to the rural communities, true to the resolutions of the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Officials of the Ministry of Machine-building Industry and relevant units have taken in a far-sighted way such necessary measures as the supply of raw and other materials after making a detailed survey of production.
The Kumsong Tractor Factory has solved technical problems arising in the production of spare parts for 80hp tractors while stepping up the production of parts for small rice harvesters.
The factory is directing efforts to the work for successfully conducting trial operation of a new-type tractor with high horsepower, while progressing the assembling of an efficient rice combine harvester.
The Huichon Precision Machine Plant and the Sungri General Motor Enterprise are striving to produce mobile rice threshers.
Similar successes are witnessed at the Rakwon General Machine Enterprise and the Hamhung Wheel Factory. -0-
