Several Sectors and Units Fulfill Plans for May

Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- The plans for May have been fulfilled in various sectors and units of the national economy which have turned out in the drive to implement the resolutions of the 6th and 7th plenary meetings of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. Officials and workers of the Chollima Steel Complex and other iron works and steel plants increased production by improving and repairing equipment qualitatively and making use of inner reserves and potentials. The chemical industrial sector including the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex pushed ahead with the production of fertilizer for the manuring year and the February 8 Vinalon Complex made efforts to increase the production of chemical products needed for different sectors. Power stations across the country normalized the production of electricity on a high level by introducing rational technical innovation proposals. Officials and colliers in the coal industrial sector launched socialist patriotic movements for increased production in underground cutting faces. The machine-building industrial sector has put spurs to the production of custom-built equipment and accessories needed for different sectors. The railway transport sector launched an increased transport drive through brisk mass movement. Officials and workers of various fields and units of the national economy have increased production at their workplaces.
