The 11th Pyongyang Musical Instruments Exhibition opened at the Pyongyang International House of Culture.
On display there are more than 1 120 musical instruments, parts and consumables of 38 kinds made by the Pyongyang Musical Instrument Factory, the Pyongyang National Musical Instrument Factory and others.
Present at the opening ceremony on September 18 were officials concerned and officials, researchers and makers from musical instrument production units and others.
Pak Kyong Chol, vice-minister of Culture, made an opening address.
He expressed belief that the exhibition would provide a firm foundation for the development of the musical instrument industry and serve as an occasion for giving the people optimism about the rosier future.
At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the exhibition.
During the exhibition there will be a presentation of experience in the production of musical instruments, information of science and technology, concert and various other cultural events.
