It happened one September day in Juche 105 (2016) when the rehabilitation campaign was in full swing in the northern part of North Hamgyong Province stricken by natural disasters.
While discussing problems arising in the rehabilitation campaign, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un asked officials about the educational conditions of students in the affected areas.
At that time, they did not pay due attention to the educational conditions of students, while giving precedence only to finishing the building or repair of tens of thousands of dwelling houses before the oncoming cold in winter.
Kim Jong Un stressed the need to build schools, kindergartens and nurseries first among others and set them as the priority construction project.
After a while, he said: Schools, kindergartens and nurseries should be built and opened in November. As students and children in disaster-stricken areas do not have lessons, their missed lessons should be supplemented during winter vacation.
Accordingly, they were built first and the sounds of students and children reading resounded in the area.
