Pyongyang, September 24 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, received a message of greeting from Cyril Ramaphosa, president of the Republic of South Africa, on September 4.
The message said:
Excellency,
On the auspicious occasion of the celebration of the Day of the Foundation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on 9 September 2023, the Government and people of the Republic of South Africa join me in conveying to Your Excellency, the Government and people of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, our warmest greetings.
Your Excellency, I am pleased to extend our sincere congratulations on your national day whilst recognising 25 years of diplomatic relations between South Africa and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea as we celebrate this year, the establishment of diplomatic relations since August 10, 1998.
May I take this opportunity to express the wish for Your Excellency's good health and reaffirm our desire to further enhance and consolidate the excellent bond of friendship that exists between our countries.
Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.
