All areas of the DPRK were filled with the boundless reverence for the peerlessly great man on the occasion of the greatest national memorial day.
In memory of President Kim Il Sung , the national flags were hoisted at half-mast at all units across the country, including the institutions at all levels, industrial establishments, farms, universities in Pyongyang and local areas.
Officials, working people, service personnel, youth and students visited the statues of the peerlessly great men in different parts of the country to pay high tribute to them, recollecting the lifetime exploits of Kim Il Sung who reliably turned the history of the development of the DPRK into the one of eternal glory and prosperity and laid solid foundation of an independent power.
The sirens across the country resounded all together at 12:00 on July 8.
With the deepest respect, all the people, service personnel and schoolchildren across the country paid a three minutes' silent tribute towards the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun in the capital city where Kim Il Sung lies in state.
The sirens of memory resounded in the sky of July, reflecting the sincerity of the people who say that socialism of Juche developed by the President all his life is dynamically advancing along the immutable orbit of independence in politics, self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance in national defence under the guidance of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and that his desire is being translated into a brilliant reality on this land.
