An emergency situation was created, in which more than 150 people were besieged by the flood in the area of Janghang-ri, Kim Jong Suk County of Ryanggang Province, due to inundation of the River Jangjin by downpour on July 28.
The Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea issued a special order to the Air Force of the Korean People's Army and mobilized helicopters to the emergency rescue operation.
Helicopters carried out the task of flight on seven occasions in a responsible manner, rescuing all of them.
The result of the operation was reported to Comrade Kim Jong Un.
Kim Jong Un highly appreciated the extraordinary combat strength, matchless self-sacrificing spirit and bravery of the helicopter group and its commander that honorably performed heroic feats one again in carrying out the difficult task in the wake of perfect completion of vast rescuing operation in the areas of North Phyongan Province.
