An artificial fur production process has newly been established at the Songyo Knitwear Factory with a long history of knitwear production.
“The artificial fur production process has been built into a labour-, energy- and water-saving one with high economic effectiveness and large annual output. So it is of national significance,” said a factory official.
According to him, artificial furs produced here will be used for the production of students’ winter shoes.
It is an important policy of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the state that the state takes full responsibility for the production and supply of quality uniforms, shoes and school things to all students across the country.
The high-speed textile machinery institute under the Academy of Light Industry solved scientific and technical problems for the artificial fur production process.
The institute technically remodelled a machine which was widely used in the textile industry previously to produce artificial furs and accordingly established an artificial fur fabric weaving process.
And it technically upgraded the heat treatment machine by adding a sizing device to it so that it can size the ground fabric of artificial fur.
Researchers designed and made a new cylinder high-temperature batch dyer for dyeing artificial fur. The dyer uses 50 percent less water than the previous ones and dyes so fast that it consumes less electricity. A double filtering system has been introduced into it to suit the specific features of the fabric of artificial fur whose fibres may fall out in a large amount and a PLC-based control system and program have been newly developed and introduced into it.
The institute also designed and made artificial fur testing facilities for the inspection and packing of artificial fur including a control device which decides on the modes of supplying cloth and controlling its tension according to the physical properties of artificial fur based on knit structure, controls the hem of cloth and speed and measures the length.
Now, the artificial fur production line produces excellent production results.
