A number of restaurants in Changjon Street at the centre of the capital Pyongyang win popularity for their good service.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un called at those restaurants when he gave field guidance to Changjon Street nearing completion on May 24, Juche 101(2012).
That day he was deeply concerned about every aspect lest there should be any shortcomings in the work for the people. At a restaurant, he learned about the shapes of the balustrade and balusters of the staircase and instructed on lighting up the ceiling and decorating the walls better so that the customers could feel comfortable and secure.
And he sat on a couch of the restaurant and emphasized that the furniture should be designed and manufactured to be used conveniently by the people and nice-looking.
That day he proposed organizing a competition between the restaurants of different styles for service.
He added that which restaurant would draw more people depends on service, business activities and quality of foods.
As a result, the restaurants in the completed Changjon Street competed with each other for service, which is going on today, too.
The competition is the one that makes the love of the Workers' Party of Korea giving top and absolute priority to the interests of the people reach them better; it is an unusual one whose standard is which unit serves the people more faithfully.
