Various economic sectors and units in the DPRK fulfilled their national economic plans for August, through a vigorous drive to achieve significant successes in 2024.
Workers in the metal industry, including those of the Chollima Steel Complex, the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex and the Musan Mining Complex, have made leaps forward and innovations in production.
In the chemical industry, the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex finished the overhaul of equipment ahead of schedule and have updated the technical and economic indices of major production lines to increase the production of fertilizer.
The workers in the electric power industry are making a breakthrough in revitalizing the national economy.
Workers in the coal industry overfulfilled their monthly production plan.
In the machine-building industry, the Ryongsong Machine Complex, the Taean Heavy Machine Complex, the Pyongyang Electric Cable General Factory 326 and other units have successfully produced equipment needed for different economic sectors.
The mining industry overfulfilled its plan for the production of minerals, regarding science and technology as a key to increasing production.
The railway transport sector carried out its monthly freight transport plan at 101.3 percent.
Various units in the building-materials industry have injected vitality to the construction sites with timely supply of high quality products.
Officials and workers in the light industry have done their best to produce much more famous products and goods favored by the people.
The fishery sector, too, has steadily pushed ahead with the work to consolidate the material and technical foundations to increase output.
