Ever-increasing arms support to Ukraine is arousing great concerns of the international community. Against this backdrop, the Russian foreign minister Lavrov recently clarified a hardline stance against the U.S. and the West, censuring their attempts to allow Ukrainian attack on Russian territory with the missiles they supplied.
Foreign minister Lavrov stated that the U.S. regards Ukraine’s request for permission to use long-range missiles in a positive light and is conducting operations to this end. He denounced that taking Ukraine’s request into consideration itself can raise “issues”.
He continued to note that it is similar to “playing with fire” to deliberate on the issue of attacking the Russian territory using missiles supplied by the West and warned that such acts can invite a third world war.
All the above gives the lie to the Western assertion that they mean to avoid excessive escalation of tension, he exposed.
Meanwhile, the Russian foreign ministry issued a statement prohibiting the entry into Russia of 92 U.S. citizens engaged in the Biden administration’s anti-Russia propaganda.
It stated that the list of prohibited entrants includes major figures of the U.S. prosecution, judiciary, business circle and the media who are “implicated in creating and spreading disinformation about Russia and its army”.
