We Will Uphold Our Powerful Country More Firmly

Thinking of our powerful country, we feel great excitement at the fact that our country is so strong.

This year alone, our country has demonstrated to the world its herculean strength through many occasions including test-fires of new weapons and a ceremony for transferring new-type tactical ballistic missile launchers which are demonstrating sure victory of the cause of building powerful army.

In the world numberless people live a hopeless life with sorrow of being weak nation’s citizens. The miserable figures of the victims we have seen through the newspaper vividly prove the truth of history that if a country is weak, it is impossible for people of the country to defend their destinies.

Citizen of a powerful republic, this is not a fortuitous result of any divine power, but the pride and honor which can only be won by the people who uphold an outstanding leader in high esteem and firmly rally behind the leader with patriotic intention and will.

Therefore, this moment at a time when looking back upon glorious development course of our Republic we, working class of the metallurgical industry, are full of extraordinary enthusiasm for patriotism.

"We will demonstrate the mettle of the powerful country to the world by becoming the foundation that props up the metallurgical industry."

This is the ardent faith and will of our working class to glorify the pride and self-esteem of being citizens of the power with proud labor feats.

As I Was Taken into Embrace of Motherland

People envy me teaching classes despite of the advanced age.

I feel gratitude to my socialist country, thinking I would have never led a worthwhile life as a doctor and associate professor if I had not been taken into its warm embrace.

I spent my childhood in Japan; in the capitalist society where money is almighty, however talented, I could not avoid the lot of suffering humiliation and insult, and moreover my dream of learning went up in smoke.

Not until I was taken into embrace of the socialist motherland thanks to the measure President Kim Il Sung took for repatriation of Koreans in Japan did I come to be a medical scientist as I wished and bring pleasure to the Party by achieving valuable research successes conducive to people’s health promotion. Thus, I have realized all my dreams under the benevolent socialist system.

I do not doubt that others in my country have same opinions.

The benevolent country, this can be heard anywhere from anyone on this land.

There are no ones in the world but our people who call their country the benevolent motherland with unreservedness.

Indeed, one can lead the dignified and happy life only in the socialist system. Therefore, I make a pledge to devote my all to my precious motherland which is dearer than my life until the last moment of life.

All of State Policies Are for Our People

Days ago, new houses have been built at our farm.

I am lost in deep thought whenever I see the farmers who are engrossed in farm work full of delight and vigor after moving into new house.

It is a grateful thing that our country provides ordinary farmers with such nice houses free of charge about which foreigners can never imagine.

Moreover, the construction of modern regional industry factories is now progressing apace in our county.

I am excited at picturing the day when the factories are to be completed and production be boosted in the near future. And when public health facilities, sci-tech dissemination bases and grain management facilities are built, how better our life will be and how civilized it will be.

Thanks to the revolutionary measures taken by the Party and the state, new houses, greenhouse farms, poultry farms, cultural resorts, etc. have mushroomed throughout the country.

All of them are for ourselves and our dear children.

Now, our farmers are filled with high spirit and enthusiasm. They are devoting their all to their realization, well aware that all the country’s affairs are for us.

I will work hard to become a patriotic peasant who supports the country with rice, bearing in mind the ever-growing benevolence of the country.

We Cannot Live Even for A Moment Apart from Bosom of Motherland

We have lived without parents. But we never felt orphaned sorrow, pain, grief and despair, for we have the embrace of the country which shows paternal love and affection to us.

When parentless children were eking out a living while being forsaken by society in other countries, I and my younger brothers grew up vigorously without knowing the parentless sorrow thanks to the benefits of the country.

While attaining the age of discretion and bringing up my children, I came to know a little about the benevolence of the motherland which has fed, clothed and put forward us.

And the socialist motherland put forward me and my husband, ordinary repairers, as meritorious persons of socialist patriotism and gave us all the glories and happiness.

Indeed, I want to boast to the world of being a dignified citizen of Juche Korea who lives enjoying all happiness.

We cannot live apart from the embrace of our socialist country, our motherland.

I will devote my energy and passion to our country, the strongest and dignified state in the world.
