There is an efficient turning lathe manufactured for the purpose of heightening processing speed and quality of products at the processing workshop No.1 of the Hoeryong Coal Mining Machine Factory. When the workshop promoted manufacturing of an efficient turning lathe on its own, the factory organized a powerful technical innovation team for the workshop. The technical innovation team members devoted their wisdom and enthusiasm day and night to manufacturing the turning lathe.

One day a senior official of the factory came to know that a member of the technical innovation team was worrying about repair of his house. Before long it was widely known to the factory that the official handed over the materials he had kept for his family to the team member. After that officials and employees of the factory briskly conducted the work to help the technical innovation team members.

Among those were an employee who made a long journey for purchasing data necessary for the team members and a technician who helped them by mapping out the method to solve the knotty problems.

Thanks to such warm minds the efficient turning lathe was manufactured.

The technical innovation team members said unanimously that the turning lathe is a product of united strength of the collective.

The members of the Ryongsil sub-workteam of the Tongrim Sericulture Management Station under the South Phyongan Provincial Sericulture Management Office have recently taken up unusual daily routine.

All the members visit the house of Kim Chung Gil, a member of the sub-workteam, after daily work.

Days ago, Pang Ok Hyang, head of the sub-workteam, received a phone call from the site of disaster recovery in Uiju County.

It said that Kim Chung Gil, who volunteered to work there joining the regiment of Party members, worked well in good health.

While remembering his reliable looks, she was suddenly seized with the thought that Kim had worried about the repair of his house before.

So, she visited Kim’s house to inquire in detail about the living conditions.

The following day the sub-workteam members responded to the appeal of the sub-workteam leader to repair Kim’s house nicely during the period when Kim was working at the rehabilitation site.

They prepared necessary materials and turned out as one for the repair of the house after finishing their work.

When Kim Chung Gil’s wife expressed gratitude to their efforts, they said:

It is due duty to help the family of the sub-workteam member who is exalting the honor of innovator in the flood-hit areas in response to the Party’s call.

After hearing such news from his wife, Kim firmly resolved to perform feats in the recovery work, bearing in mind the sincerity of the collective and comrades.

Pride of Real Farmers’ Collective

Everyone in the Kangho Farm, Paechon County proudly says that the collective is overflowing with love and warm feelings and the key to glorifying the honor of real farmers’ collective lies in them.

It was one evening.

While looking round the fields, a work-team leader saw a farmer who worked hard to finish his assignment even after working hours.

The farmer was a newcomer. Seeing him making a responsible effort to do his work, the work-team leader was filled with remorse that he had not done his work well for helping the newcomers.

When the work-team leader told other members who had finished their work, they went to his field and worked with him all night, reproaching themselves for their mistake of failing to think of the newcomer.

Afterwards, the work-team members always paid attention to the backward farmer, gave him a clear understanding of the technical requirements to be observed in the implementation of the farming process, solved the problems arising in the household, and helped him devote himself to farming.

Thanks to such warm love and affection of the collective, the farmer has grown up into a real peasant well-known to the farm.

Now, the farm workers are devoting themselves to bringing about rich harvest by the concerted efforts of the collective.
