All the Korean people have a strong desire to have a photograph taken with the respected Kim Jong Un even once in their lifetime.
The following happened one day in November 2019 when he paid the fourth visit to the August 25 Fishery Station situated on the east coast of Korea, which had landed a huge haul.
The employees and their family members were excited with inflated expectations, as they knew that during each of his previous visits he had had a photograph taken with them in appreciation of their work.
But at these auspicious occasions a woman was looking lonely out of the window at home. She was the station manager’s wife. She was very sad as she had so far missed the opportunity to see the leader and take a photograph with him. She had to stay at home for her poor health even when the dock was shorthanded.
Then to her utter surprise, someone told her that the leader was waiting for her.
When he proposed having a photograph taken with all the employees of the station and their family members that day, too, he was informed by an official in charge of the Party organization of the station of her state.
His face turned gloomy to hear that.
Earlier, when he was watching an art performance given by the employees, he felt so sorry to learn that she could not join it because of her poor health.
After a while he said to the Party official: I have been told that the manager’s wife didn’t attend the photo sessions for her poor health during my three previous visits. She must feel awfully sorry if she missed it this time, too. Go and bring her with my car.
Then he waited for the wife to come.
She arrived about 10 minutes later. The leader greeted her with a broad smile on his face, saying that he was glad to see her. She sobbed that she was so grateful to him for having waited for her when she had done nothing helpful to fish catching.
He told her to recover her health as soon as possible and support her husband so that he could work harder. Then he posed for a photograph arm in arm with the couple. Thus the wife’s wish came true.
