Russia has expressed its strong will to resolutely defend sovereignty and security of the country against the dangerous military moves of the U.S. and the West in their bid to deal a strategic defeat on Russia with Ukraine as their shock troop.
President Putin, in one of his recent interviews, referred to the Western countries’ plan to lift the ban on Ukraine’s use of long-range weapons in Russia’s interior. He remarked that the adoption of such a resolution will signify the U.S. and the West’s direct participation in the Ukrainian conflict and declared Russia’s position to adopt corresponding resolutions to counter them.
President Putin remarked that this issue is not simply a matter of authorizing the Kiev regime to attack Russia with the Western-made long-range high-precision weapons but the matter of determining whether or not NATO member states will directly intervene in the military conflict. He pointed out that the Western intervention would intrinsically transform the nature of the conflict itself.
The Russian President’s Press Secretary stated it seems likely that the U.S. has already decided to authorize Ukraine to attack the depth of the Russian territory, thereby raising the possibility of the allies of the Kiev regime to be actually involved in the conflict. He stressed that Russia will resolutely counter the hostile acts of the western group.
The First Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the State Duma of Russia and other high-ranking officials also criticized the West for giving Ukraine permission to attack Russian territory and currently preparing for its execution. They warned that such action will only result in compelling Russia to use more powerful and destructive weapons to protect its citizens.
