The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is dignified with independence in politics and single-minded unity of its society.

The DPRK maintains a strong independent stand and remains steadfast in advancing along the road of its own development.

Independence constitutes the cornerstone of the DPRK's idea of state building. It is a miracle that the DPRK has firmly upheld the principle of independence and achieved its independent development while bearing the brunt of the attacks by the imperialists and dominationists for many decades since its founding on September 9, 1948.

The DPRK has made no concession or compromise over the fundamental interests of the state and people. It has adhered to its independent stand in politics, and consistently observed the principles of self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance in national defence.

The secret behind the DPRK’s victorious advance without the slightest twists and turns and deviations lies in the fact that it has thoroughly applied the revolutionary line of independence to its state building and activities.

The DPRK is demonstrating its might by dint of single-minded unity.

All members of society share will, aspiration and feelings of kinship for their common cause. This serves as a source of its strength and invincibility.

Throughout its history, the leader and the people have shared single mind and will and set a brilliant example of socialist construction.

“The leader believes in the people and the people believe in the leader.” This phrase is a byword for the DPRK’s single-minded unity. Despite harsh trials and uphill tasks facing the DPRK, the Korean people could vigorously advance straight forward without a moment’s standstill and stagnation, thanks to the great single-hearted unity in which the leader, the Party and the masses are firmly united with ennobling trust and moral obligation.

It is a mode of development unique to the DPRK that the leader unveils a blueprint for the country's prosperity in reflection of the demands and interests of the people and the people always give absolute support to the leader's determination and translate it into a brilliant reality.

In the DPRK all the people enjoy an independent and creative life to their heart’s content, helping and leading each other forward, single-mindedly united around the Party and the leader.

It is a great victory to go down in the history of the nation spanning 5 000 years that the DPRK, not large in territory and population, is shining as a power of independence, a country of single-minded unity.

The DPRK is further demonstrating its dignity and might as "a country dignified with independence" and "a single-minded country".
