The Most Precious Wealth

Once, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill.

While making rounds of the mill, he stopped in front of the high-temperature, high-pressure roller dyeing machine devised by teachers and researchers of a university.

A teacher of the university explained to him in detail about the performance of the machine which was superior to a foreign one.

Listening to the explanation in great satisfaction, the respected General Secretary wore a broad smile on his face.

He said with pleasure that it was so good to have made it by our own efforts and that self-reliance was the only way out.

Then he continued that the spirit of self-reliance couldn’t be bought even for all the treasures.

His precious teachings reflected great trust and expectations of him who wants all the officials, workers and technicians to display higher the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance in the ongoing struggle for building a powerful socialist country.

That day, he suggested having a souvenir picture taken with the machine for a background.

The meaningful picture taken that day still reminds us of a precious truth that the key to performing miracles lies in the spirit of self-reliance, the most precious wealth.

Valuable Creation of Self-supporting Economy

One March day in Juche 111(2022), the respected General Secretary inspected the construction site of 10 000 flats in the Songsin and Songhwa areas nearing completion.

Standing on the broad avenue, he said to the officials that the view of the street was spectacular indeed and that the flats had been built in a new style.

Then he continued that it was a proud success to have completed the construction of 10 000 flats in the Songsin and Songhwa areas by dint of self-reliance and fortitude.

An official said with respect that the achievements made in the flat construction were totally attributable to the wise guidance of the respected General Secretary.

Then the respected General Secretary noted that the achievements were brought about by soldier-builders and others who turned out in hearty response to the decision of the Party Central Committee.

He stressed that it was unthinkable to have built 10 000 modern flats with splendor in just one year apart from the invincibility of the single-hearted unity in which the army and the people are firmly rallied behind the Party, the strength of our state and the potentiality of the self-supporting economy.

Then he said with delight that we could find out how dramatic change the area had undergone if we took a picture at the position where the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the flats was held the previous March.

Looking up to the benevolent image of the respected General Secretary, the officials keenly felt that the ideal streets which appear every year in Pyongyang are monuments born by his ardent love for the people and valuable creations of the self-supporting economy reflecting the inexhaustible strength of our state.
