The Greatest Strength with Which to Race against Time

One August day in Juche 107(2018), the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the Samchon Catfish Farm despite the midsummer heat.

Going round the farm, he was so pleased that the farm, which used to turn out 300 tons of catfish on an annual average, produced 3 001 tons in the preceding year after its rebuilding on an expansion basis, saying that this meant that the farm produced in just one year the amount of catfish it had produced in more than 10 years.

Looking up to the General Secretary who was seeing with satisfaction again and again the catfishes teeming in the breeding pond, officials warmly recollected the day when the General Secretary visited the farm in the midwinter cold three years before.

At that time he said that remarkable successes were being made across the country by dint of the mental power of service personnel and people and gave them strength and encourage to enlist limitless mental strength of the masses to the full.

Thanks to his wise guidance, the farm could be transformed in a splendid way, completely ridding itself of its backwardness of the past.

Looking up to the General Secretary, the officials felt keenly that the indomitable spiritual strength was the greatest strength with which to race against time.

What’s More Important Than Economic Successes

One February day in Juche 105(2016), the respected General Secretary, sitting in company with officials, gave a vital instruction on rousing up the officials, Party members and working people to the 70-day campaign for glorifying the 7th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea as a glorious meeting of victors.

That day, saying that the aim of the 70-day campaign is to fully arm the officials, Party members and working people with the indomitable offensive revolutionary idea of our Party and train them into the personifiers of firm will who rise up relying on their own strength without the slightest vacillation in the face of trials and difficulties, he stressed as follows:

It is important to build new structures and boost production during the campaign but what is more important is to give full play to the spiritual strength of the masses by firmly arming the officials, Party members and working people with the revolutionary idea of our Party and raising their political and class awareness.

The officials kept in their hearts the noble intention of the respected General Secretary that training of the popular masses, the motive force of revolution, into those with great spiritual strength and reliable creators of their own happiness is more important than any economic success.
