Electric Power Industry of DPRK Concentrates Efforts on Supply of Electricity to Farming

Pyongyang, October 10 (KCNA) -- The electric power industry of the DPRK is concentrating its efforts on the supply of electricity needed for the completion of this year's farming.
The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, the Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant, the Sunchon Thermal Power Plant and other units have introduced valuable technical innovations for increasing the capacity of equipment to keep generators in full-capacity operation.
The workers of Hochongang, Jangjingang and Sodusu power stations are ensuring high-water level and high efficiency operation while taking good care of hydraulic structures in a responsible manner and keeping water management in a scientific way and thus bringing about good results in electric-power production.
Power transmission and distribution stations in South Hwanghae and South Phyongan provinces have organized the work to supply sufficient electricity to the rural areas seething with harvesting and threshing, while intensifying the control and guidance.
Power transmission and distribution stations in Paechon, Anak, Mundok and Jungsan counties are ensuring normal operation of equipment and conducting cross-supply according to lines and regions to make effective use of the electricity produced. -0-
