Chairman Kim Jong Il , in his life time, had built deep and friendly relations with Russian friends and bestowed endless love and care on them.
Among them was Yazov, former Minister of Defense of the Soviet Union,.
He visited our country 10-plus times from 1985 to 2006. He met on several occasions with President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il , forming deep personal relations with Chairman Kim Jong Il , an outstanding military strategist.
Out of his deep reverence for respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , another peerless great man, he sent Comrade Kim Jong Un congratulatory messages and letters and presented him with sincerely prepared gifts on many occasions.
Yazov was granted with much more love and care from Chairman Kim Jong Il than anyone else and always cherished the comradely obligation and friendship with Chairman Kim Jong Il .
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un always remembered Yazov and gave meticulous teachings on November 1, 2012, on the occasion of his 88 th birthday.
He said that Yazov had lived his whole life in uniform and forged exceptional personal relations with Chairman Kim Jong Il . Thus, he added, he would send a congratulatory letter to Yazov on his birthday.
He then personally chose a special envoy to convey the congratulatory letter and gave meticulous teachings on celebrating his birthday and presenting him with the congratulatory letter, gift and flower basket.
On November 8, a ceremony of presenting Yazov with the letter, gift and flower basket of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was held at his home.
In the congratulatory letter, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un highly appreciated Yazov, saying that he was one of the closest comrades of Chairman Kim Jong Il who formed close comradely relations with him and that he is one of the well-known and unsung heroes who shed their blood for building powerful Russia of today.
2 years later, on November 8, 2014, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un again sent him congratulatory letter, gift and flower basket on his 90 th birthday.
At that time Yazov was in his sickbed. However, the ever-growing love and care of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un gave him greater mental strength than any other tonics.
With this as an occasion, the feelings of admiration and reverence for respected Comrade Kim Jong Un grew ever stronger among Russian people.
