As Sobaek Stream Flows Constantly

It happened one winter when the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un went round the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

Reaching the edge of the Sobaek Stream via the headquarters log cabin in the Paektusan Secret Camp, he asked officials why they came to the stream if they were not going to immerse their feet in water, and firstly did so.

He smiled brightly, saying that the water was not cold as he entered the stream after tasting the running water with his hands.

Looking up to the respected General Secretary, the officials were moved to tears.

But they could not understand the meaning of his noble intention.

He looked at the flowing of the Sobaek Stream for a moment and said in a low voice:

As the Sobaek Stream is flowing constantly, time passes continuously and generations of the revolution are changing. As the years go by and the Sobaek Stream is flowing constantly, we should accomplish the revolution to the last through generations. We should maintain the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the revolutionary traditions of Paektu, to the last and carry it forward, even though the land may change hundreds of times. …

His instruction was, indeed, meaningful.

The indomitable strength of our people who are winning only victories in the face of manifold difficulties lies in the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the revolutionary traditions of Paektu, and the invincibility of the revolutionary cause of Juche is attributable to firmly carrying forward the proud spirit and tradition.

The ranks of indomitable revolutionaries and patriots who cherish the great revolutionary spirit and revolutionary traditions generation after generation will always be as powerful and brave as the Sobaek Stream.

At that moment of glory, the officials were full of such confidence.

Until the Final Victory of the Revolution

One November day in 2016, the respected General Secretary visited the lodging quarter for participants in study tour of the Samjiyon Revolutionary Battle Site.

That day he stressed the need to more firmly arm all the people with the revolutionary spirit of Paektu through study tours of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

Arriving at the lodging quarter of study tourists, he said that it was a very important issue related to the future destiny of our revolution to intensify the education in the revolutionary traditions, emphasizing the need to organize the study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu on a regular basis so that the officials, Party members, working people and youth and schoolchildren could firmly arm themselves with the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the spirit of the blizzards of Paektu, and clearly understand the history of the struggle displayed by the first generations of our revolution.

Also when going round the lodging houses, he continued to say that the young generations should know well about the revolutionary history of the preceding generations and that only when they learn from their fighting spirit and traits can defeat the enemy armed to the teeth.

That day he instructed that the study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu should continue, until the final victory of the Korean revolution is won.

Our people, cherishing this noble intention of the respected General Secretary, are making a ceaseless march to the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu singing the song "We Will Go to Mt Paektu".
