Rural housing construction is under way in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea according to the rural revolution programme in the new era set forth by the Workers' Party of Korea.
The countryside is faced-lifted with the modern single-story, low-story and terraced houses which are being built in a peculiar way in accordance with the geographical and regional features.
Building all the farm villages of the country which show the character of socialism and retain their regional characteristics is a strategic and important plan of the Workers' Party of Korea which attaches great importance to and intends to realize for sure.
At the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK held in December 2021, General Secretary Kim Jong Un clarified that it is the policy of ruralconstruction of our Party to turn all rural villages in the country into richand cultured socialist ideal villages at the level similar to those in the city of Samjiyonin the near future.
After the plenary meeting, he ensured that a powerful headquarters for rural construction was organized and construction forces were immediately formed in the provinces, cities and counties to start the construction as soon as possible. In this way, he took measures for the entire Party and the whole country to powerfully push ahead with the rural construction.
In those days he guided at least 2,000 blueprints for rural housing construction.
People have moved into new houses in over 500 farm villages since 2022.
Here is Kim Sun Chol, Commander of the Ryokpho District Construction Brigade.
"In order to build new modern rural houses, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un saw that the ranks of skilled workers were expanded at the city and county construction brigades to build up the construction forces.
And he took measures to reinforce construction equipment so that more machines could be used in construction and build up a solid base for the production of building materials.
We could build over 600 modern rural houses according to the blueprints examined by Kim Jong Un with our own construction forces and by using more machines."
The rural villages in this country are turning into a socialist utopia under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un.
