The Advanced Science and Technology and Products Exhibition-2024 took place at the Grand People’s Study House in the capital city of Pyongyang in October.
Over 480 units from across the country participated in the exhibition. On display were more than 2 200 breakthroughs in the research, development and introduction of advanced science and technology which had been highly appreciated at the relevant national festivals, sector-specific exhibitions and shows.
Many units presented advanced sci-tech achievements of appealing interest and accordingly, the exhibition showed that they reached a considerably high technical and quality level.
Kim Chaek University of Technology presented various kinds of analysing, sensing and measuring equipment applied with advanced technology. And the Kyonghung IT Company appeared as a high-profile technology business by presenting an optical-fibre cable detector and educational robots using various machine parts.
The O-il Trademark Print Shop, which produces quality packing materials fit for famous products and commodities by developing lamination glue for plastic film, stole the scene as a leading unit in the plastic printing technology sector.
Various units in Kaesong also presented different kinds of sealing rings, parts for optical-fibre communication and air cylinders of excellent quality and technical specifications, drawing the attention of many visitors.
During the exhibition there were active technical exchanges among participants and visitors.
The booth of the high-tech development centre of Kim Il Sung University, which developed a water flow metre essential for building an integrated domestic water management system, was visited by many hoping for technical exchanges.
The developers at the Pyongyang Essential Oil Factory, who developed hygienic perfumes and scented candles by using natural vermiculite and natural essential oils, said that the exhibition made them realize more keenly how fast advanced science and technology is spread and applied and inspired them to make redoubled efforts with more competitive enthusiasm.
Han Yong Jin, director of the advanced sci-tech dissemination centre at the Grand People’s Study House, said that the current exhibition displayed great attraction in inspiring sectors and units to strive to build up their science forces and take the initiative in new technological realms.
