East Pyongyang Middle School No. 1 has been well-known for having trained many reserve talents. In recent years, students of the school won several national academic contests.
This is attributable to the high qualifications and teaching methods of teachers.
The school administration conducts a regular assessment of qualifications of teachers.
The teaching contest serves as an important occasion in improving them.
In the course of creating and introducing new teaching methods by sharing their experience and pooling their collective wisdom, they come up with good teaching methods.
