Officials of the women's union from across the DPRK started a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.
A meeting took place to start the study tour at the plaza before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the Samjiyon Grand Monument on December 6.
The participants laid bouquets at the statue of the President.
Jon Hyang Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, delivered an address to be followed by speeches at the meeting.
The speakers said that the study tour would serve as an occasion for further hardening the faith and will of the women's union officials to fulfil their responsibility and duty as women revolutionaries in the drive for ushering in a new era of national prosperity and the comprehensive development of Korean-style socialism under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, fully armed with the indomitable revolutionary spirit of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners.
They expressed their determination to dynamically accelerate the march to the battle sites of Mt Paektu, singing the song "We Will Go to Mt Paektu" and demonstrate the might of the women's union in the ongoing general advance for hastening the comprehensive development of Korean-style socialism with strong spiritual power and patriotic devotion.
At the end of the meeting, the group members went round the Samjiyon Grand Monument.
