The construction of regional-industry factories for this year started in the city of Sinpho and the counties of Taegwan, Rangnim and Sepho.

The groundbreaking ceremonies of regional-industry factories took place on the spot on February 25.

Present there were Ju Chang Il, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, chief secretaries of the provincial committees of the WPK, officials and working people in relevant provinces, city and counties and soldier-builders.

Speakers at the ceremonies referred to the great efforts made by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is continuously covering the road of devoted service for the people's wellbeing, which will be eternally recorded in the history of national prosperity, in order to usher in a new era of comprehensive rejuvenation in which all the people will enjoy an improved and abundant life.

They noted that the policy of the WPK for the people is the genuine popular policy which reaches every place where they live, and the one of love which extends to the remote and isolated places, difficult and toilsome places before anywhere else.

They said with great emotion that a new model base of offshore farming was successfully built in the city of Sinpho last year as a gift of love presented by the motherly Party and modern regional-industry factories would be built this year to improve the living standards of the regional people.

They noted that the people in Taegwan and Rangnim counties, remote mountainous regions in the northwestern end of the country where regional-industry factories more updated in architectural style, convenience and practicality will be built, are also dreaming of the rosy future in which they would lead an abundant and civilized life under the care of the WPK.

They referred to the fact that Sepho County turned into a large-sized livestock farming base under the loving care of the Party and today it comes to have the assets conducive to improving the people’s living standards through the groundbreaking ceremony of modern and new factories in which the peculiarities of the regional economy are highlighted.

They called for continuing to dynamically advance to implement the Party's policy on regional development, saying that it is the intention and firm will of the WPK that the long-term development of regions means the rosy future of the DPRK and the prospect of Korean-style socialism.

Commanders of the 124th regiments of the Korean People’s Army made speeches.

Soldier-builders started the projects amid the great emotion and joy of holding the historic groundbreaking ceremonies signalling fresh miracles for regional change and greater happiness.

Officials from Pyongyang and in the regions met and encouraged the officers and men of the KPA engaged in the construction.
