A meeting took place on February 25 to mark the tenth anniversary of the publication of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's immortal classic work "Let the Entire Party, the Whole Army and All the People Conduct a Vigorous Forest Restoration Campaign to Cover the Mountains of the Country with Green Woods".
Present at the meeting were officials of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection and officials and employees of an affiliated unit.
Kim Kyong Jun, minister of Land and Environment Protection, made a report.
The reporter stressed that Kim Jong Un made public the work "Let the Entire Party, the Whole Army and All the People Conduct a Vigorous Forest Restoration Campaign to Cover the Mountains of the Country with Green Woods" on February 26 2015, with the result that the orientation and ways to be consistently maintained in conducting a vigorous forest restoration campaign were clearly indicated and the fierce flames of a patriotic movement were kindled across the country.
He said that the mountains of the country have been turned into “gold and treasure mountains” over the past ten years thanks to the provision of the important guidelines for forest restoration including the issue of sprucing up tree nurseries, putting the sapling production on a scientific, industrialized and intensive basis and taking measures for forest protection and the issue of involving the entire Party, the whole army and all the people in the forest restoration.
Saying that the Central Tree Nursery has been turned into a model sapling production base, modern tree nurseries were built in different parts of the country and sci-tech research into forest restoration and an experience-sharing movement were briskly conducted, he noted that such achievements made in the past are a precious fruition of the rare wisdom and tested leadership of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.
The reporter called on all officials and employees to fulfil their responsibility and duty in the afforestation and landscaping of the whole country as soon as possible, holding aloft as the immortal banner the ideological and theoretical exploits performed by Kim Jong Un in accomplishing the patriotic and sacred cause for the prosperity and development of the country and wellbeing and prosperity of all generations to come.
