The Democratic People's Republic of Korea gives priority to bringing up the younger generations.

It ensures school fittings, supplies and equipment to the pupils and students with full responsibility and provides the educators, pupils and students with the best working and studying conditions.

Schools are built or remodelled on a full scale throughout the country and social interest in education keeps growing.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, pays deep attention to the educational development of the country, saying that the rising generations may do what our generation failed to complete in other undertakings, but if we don't bring them up well, nobody can do it for us.

He proposed the work for developing education of the country at major meetings discussing the overall affairs of the Party and the state and indicated the ways for realizing it.

At the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK held in December 2021, he said providing the pupils and students with school uniforms is not the work that can be done only in good conditions, but the policy of the Party and the eternal state policy of the DPRK that should be carried out unconditionally and on a top-priority basis, and took crucial measures for its implementation.

At the sixth and eighth plenary meetings of the Eighth Party Central Committee, he took practical steps to readjust the educational structure of the country for giving advanced education and improve the contents and methods of education more reasonably.

At the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK held in December 2023, he stressed once again that it is the consistent policy of the WPK and the eternal national policy of the DPRK that the Party and the state supply necessities to the pupils and students in a responsible manner.

At the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK held in December last year, he noted that education is the first state affair that should be given priority and that demands tremendous effort at any time and at any stage and the most important sector that has to make steady progress.

And he advanced the tasks to steadily raise the intellectual level of all pupils and students by improving the quality of basic education at the general education sector and further the qualifications of educators.

Jon Chun Hae, Principal of the Kyonghung Senior Middle School in Pothonggang District Affiliated to Kim Chol Ju University of Education, said their duty is important in supporting the noble intention of Kim Jong Un who attaches great importance to education, and continued:

"True to the lofty will of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, our school builds up the ranks of teachers more firmly, improve their qualifications on a normal basis and accelerates the work for putting education on an IT and modern footing.

In particular, we conduct the work for improving qualifications every week and every month as planned, bearing in mind that the qualifications of teachers mean the quality of education and practical abilities of students."

Bright and rosy is our future thanks to the great father Kim Jong Un who always regards the work for the rising generations as the first and most important of the state affairs.
