The Kyonghung IT Company has developed an array of intelligent robots, drawing the attention of experts and people.
Today robot-based education is deemed to be a very effective way of inspiring children and students to think independently and creatively and to put their ideas into practice in an active manner.
“In keeping with the world trend, we have designed and printed different parts of the robot body,” said Ri Jin Hyok, section chief of the company. “We have also developed a device and program for controlling robots.”
The educational robots are divided into four categories: for kindergarten, primary school, junior middle school and senior middle school.
The control program is worked out in a way of piecing together figures so that even the children and students who do not yet know programming language can easily understand and develop it.
With dozens of kinds of parts available coming in various shapes, kids and schoolchildren can either copy any living things and vehicles or put their idea into a certain robot. This helps them raise their ability to conceive things and bring them into practice.
Such robots are gaining popularity as they are introduced to educational institutions such as Kyongsang Kindergarten, East Pyongyang Secondary School No. 1 and Nampho Primary School for Orphans, as well as to ordinary families. They were highly appreciated at the advanced science and technology and goods exhibition-2024.
In the course of designing a robot and assembling and controlling it on their own, students come to have knowledge of natural science, engineering and information technology, said Choe Jong Uk, a teacher at Pyongyang Teachers Training College. He added that they will build up their capacity to design and manufacture any industrial robot in the future.
