Among the units highly appreciated at the recent 2025 Spring Garment Exhibition is the Tongdaewon Aeguk Knitwear Factory.
The factory presented to the show sweaters of different shapes and colours for spring, summer and autumn, which received positive feedback.
“In general, when it comes to sweater, it is supposed to be worn in wintertime. But now, sweaters made of functional thread are in fashion all the year round,” said Manager Kim Nam Il.
The factory has strengthened its technical force to develop different kinds of products in keeping with the current trend of sweater.
It focuses on producing iconic ones favoured by people.
To this end, it organizes a show of samples twice a week, in which all workteams participate proactively.
Workteams make the best use of the sci-tech learning space to help their employees broaden their horizons by keeping abreast of the trend of knitwear and the people’s tastes and share the experience gained by those who contributed to the development of new products.
On this basis, the employees produce various kinds of knitwear for each season by diversifying knitting texture and methods.
As a result, the sample show has become a competition between workteams and it serves as an occasion in raising the employees’ awareness of quality and improving their technical skills.
A women’s overcoat, an outcome of this effort, drew the attention of experts in the Women’s Clothes Exhibition-2022 and other events.
In particular, a knitted coat, its front and back stiff, gauze fabric on either side and on sleeves, and decorated with flower patterns, assumes an air of softness and is good at elasticity, drapability, heat preservation and permeability. It was highly demanded.
A dual-colour men’s sweater, a women’s sweater patterned with the national flag and others were also hot exhibits.
