The WonsanKalma coastal tourist area, extending as far as 4km at the beautiful east coast of our socialist country, an incomparable cultural resort, was inaugurated and welcomed our ordinary people as its first guest,

Myongsasimni (four-kilometre-stretch of beautiful sand) has existed for more than thousands of years on this land. The 5000-year-long history of our nation has never witnessed such a great era in which the state sets the construction of a world`s leading coastal tourist town as its major policy for development, bringing about eye-opening transformation embodying the policy of love for people.

It is the ardent will of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to uphold our people, the best people in the world, as heaven and unfold the most beautiful scenery all across the country. He initiated the construction work of the WonsanKalma coastal tourist area and guided the whole process of construction, personally becoming the designer, supervisor and builder, despite his busy work of managing the overall state affairs.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un set the task to complete the construction work within the shortest period and took concrete measures to organize experienced construction forces and to provide necessary equipment, materials and funds. He saw to it that the designs were drawn thoroughly embodying the people-first policy and the Juche-based idea of architectural beauty so that the buildings could become the models and standard ones of modern architecture.

In spite of the strong sea breezes, he visited the construction site to give instructions on ways and methods for perfecting the designs and reviewed dozens of them one by one and personally made detailed corrections. He made endless efforts and devotion to complete the tourist area into a world-level coastal resort town, the most wonderful maritime park with marvelous appearance and modern features.

Every corner of the tourist area tells the story of his benevolence bestowed on our people. He gave detailed instructions on different issues including optimized designing, building promenade, tramlines and bicycle roads, producing electric vehicles, making floating piers for the panel lodgings built on stilts over the water to make people use boats, and installing outdoor clocks for people bathing in the sea.

The WonsanKalma coastal tourist area, the monumental creation of civilization and great prosperity, adds the scenic beauty of the famous sight at the Korean East Sea.

It is indeed the precious crystallization of the noble love for people of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who continued his road of devotion for our people, visiting the dusty construction site again and again, despite the midsummer heat and late-autumn frost.

The tourist area, along with its fame, will be handed down forever as Myongsasimni for our people in the great Kim Jong Un era when people are full of happiness with laughter and the new period of great prosperity opens up.
