The Changgwang Shop in Mirae Scientists Street in the capital city of Pyongyang is one of the shops frequented by the Korean people.
The shop sells various kinds of daily necessaries of good quality, winning popularity of the people.
It has been contributing to the improvement of the people's material and cultural life for tens of years since its establishment in 1983. It was remodelled in 2015 along with the construction of Mirae Scientists Street.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the shop on September 24, 2015.
Ri Song Suk, Deputy Manageress of the Changgwang Shop, said Kim Jong Un earnestly told that the shop should render good services to the people and thus make it the shop frequented by the people, and continued:
"Ten years has passed since we saw the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un here at the shop. But our employees still remember the day and often talk about it.
Kim Jong Un visited our shop when darkness set in and expressed great satisfaction. He was really pleased to see our shop filled with domestic goods."
That day, Kim Jong Un said they should fill the shop with various kinds of quality goods, so that the people can frequent it to buy them as they like, thus making it a thriving socialist shop.
The Changgwang Shop is always crowded with people coming to buy domestic goods.
