The embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Russia gave a reception on the 9th on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Invited to the reception were Gennadi Zhuganov, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of theRussian Federation, Ivan Melinikov, First Deputy Speaker of the StateDuma, Andrei Buluiga, Vice-Minister of Defense, Vitali Shulika, Vice-Minister of InternalAffairs, and other figures of political parties, government, parliament, organizations and institutions of Russia including the State Duma, the Federation Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Party for Peace and Unity, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, the Orchestra of the 21st Century and the TASS.
Present there were Sin Hong Chol, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the DPRK to Russia, and staff members of his embassy.
The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before a joint picture of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and paid homage to them.
And they looked round photos showing the noble revolutionary lives of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the immortal exploits performed by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the development of the DPRK-Russia friendly relations, their famous works and other photos showing the invincible might and proud development of the DPRK.
Speeches were made at the reception.
On the other hand, the DPRK missions in Vladivostok and Khabarovsk of Russia gave receptions on the same occasion.
