The Grand Mass Gymnastics and Artistic Performance"Long Live the Workers' Party of Korea" for celebrating the 80thfounding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea was given with splendor atthe May Day Stadium on Thursday evening.

The venue of the performance on Rungna Islet,which will beautifully and colorfully celebrate the founding anniversary of thegreat motherly Party, was filled with joy and excitement of citizens ofPyongyang, youth and students and service personnel.

KimJong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president ofthe State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, enjoyed theperformance.

When the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un appeared in the auditoriumwith heads of parties and governments of different countries, enthusiasticcheers shook the night sky of the capital city.

Among the audience were leading officials ofthe Party, government and armed forces organs, participants in the celebrationsof the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK, members of overseas compatriots'congratulatory groups and delegations and overseas compatriots.

Present there on invitation were members ofthe party and government delegations of different countries, delegations ofinternational democratic organizations and organizations for the study of theJuche idea, diplomatic envoys here, families of overseas Koreans related to theanti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and foreign guests.

The emblem of the 80th founding anniversary ofthe WPK was shining brilliantly, representing the absolute dignity and prestigeof the WPK which has recorded the longest ruling history of socialism under thebanner of the great Juche idea, and the fierce torch was flaring up, like theflame started with the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union, the rootof our Party.

The performance depicted in a grand epic stylethe great history of the genuine people's Party, the ever-victorious WPK, whichhas covered the sacred long road of the people-first principle without amoment's veering, weathering the storm of the grim revolution, since the day of80 years ago when the Party took the responsibility of the destiny of thepeople under the uplifted red flag fluttered in Mt Paektu and set therealization of all the ideals of the people as its original ideal.

To the tune of songs of struggle and advanceresounded in every period of the revolution, the performers presented vigorousgymnastics and elegant dance movements in high praise of the immortal exploitsof our Party, which has led the socialist cause of Juche to steady success andvictories by regarding the people as the root of its existence and arousing theinexhaustible spiritual strength of the masses.

Songs praising the great era of Kim Jong Un which has witnessedunprecedentedly great victories and changes since the founding of the Party andthe nation revved up the atmosphere of the performance.

The audience was deeply moved by the scenes ofthe grand mass gymnastics reflecting miracles being created day by day byracing against time in the new heyday of strengthening the whole Party when theleadership ability of the WPK is given fullest play and in a new era ofself-respect and prosperity when the might of self-reliance and single-mindedunity, the tradition and lifeline of the revolution, brings about thecomprehensive prosperity of the state.

The audience was overcome with boundlessemotion and joy, mesmerized by the bright and happy images of the newgenerations growing up stoutly, bringing all dreams and hopes into full bloom,under the warm care of the fatherly Marshal who gives precedence to thetraining of the younger generation above all state affairs and cultivates therosy future of the country with his great love and devotion.

KimJong Un sent warm blessings to all the performers singing in chorus thesong "We Are the Happiest in the World" with joy and happiness.

The audience was greatly delighted to seedance movements and stunts reflecting the excellent traditional culture,customs and martial traits of the Korean people, which the performers presentedto the tune of folk songs "Moran Hill" and "My ProsperingCountry".

A powerful ceremony of the combined militaryband made the audience feel boundless patriotic enthusiasm to more firmlydefend and eternally and wholeheartedly uphold our greatest socialist countryin the world where the independent dignity of the people and their genuinelives are guaranteed.

The performers vividly depicted withbackground images, gymnastic movements and dances the militant spirit of thepowerful Juche-oriented revolutionary army which has been developed andstrengthened under great care of the peerlessly great men, the world'sstrongest Korean People's Army holding the peerlessly illustrious commander inhigh esteem. They showed that the only powerful strength is the firm guaranteefor defending justice and peace and that the DPRK will further bolster up thematchless war deterrent for the country and the people and for peace andprosperity of all generations to come.

The performance reached its climax withtorchlight gymnastics and song "We Are Koreans" reflecting the firmfaith and revolutionary will of the DPRK people to accomplish the great causeof building a rich country with a strong army without fail with the wisdom andcourage of Koreans, staking the honor of their times and generation, anddynamically advance towards a rosy future of socialism and communism.

Through the performance, the audience morekeenly realized the immutable truth proven by history that the Party is greatand the state and its people are strong as they are led by the outstandingleader and the truth of the revolution that only glory is always in store forthe people taking the road of following the WPK even though any storm blows onthis land.
