Pyongyang, November 2 (KCNA) -- The North Hwanghae Provincial Agricultural Science Institute is intensifying scientific research for the stable and sustainable development of agricultural production.
The institute has made a lot of achievements by directing efforts to breeding new varieties suitable to the climatic and soil conditions of the region and studying advanced cultivation technology and profitable methods of agricultural chemicals production.

The wheat and barley research office has developed the varieties with high rate of wintering and great resistance to unfavorable weather conditions by intensifying variety comparative tests in different regions.
The maize sown as an after-crop, spring radish and autumn cabbage bred by the researchers of the institute were registered as national varieties as they have a short growing term and high per-hectare yield.
