One day in October 2015, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the then Paekhak-dong in the Sonbong area in Rason Municipality, which had been successfully rebuilt into a socialist fairyland after completely removing the flood damage.
Kim Jong Un stopped for a good while in front of newly-built dwelling houses associated with the kindred affection and sincerity of soldiers for the people in the afflicted area and told the officials that what remained to be done now was moving into new houses and that the soldiers should return to their units after helping the people move into new houses and carrying out other finishing processes.
Saying that he felt relieved to provide the flood victims, who had been left homeless, with new homes, he added: How happy the victims themselves would be to receive new houses when we are so pleased; the success achieved in the northern part of the country represents a great victory of the single-hearted unity and harmonious whole of the Party and the masses.
Noting that he was moved and felt proud to think of the feats performed by the soldiers of the People’s Army in Rason, he had a photo taken with tens of thousands of soldiers against the background of the dwelling houses.
