In the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the discharged soldiers who got injured during their military service are called honoured disabled soldiers.
There is the Rangnang Disabled Soldiers' Essential Plastic Goods Factory in the capital city of Pyongyang.
The factory was established in October 1970 as a small unit producing simple ironware with some pieces of equipment including table lathe and drilling machine. Now it has been developed into a modern and comprehensive base producing different kinds of plastic goods badly needed for the improvement of the people's living such as plastic containers of all sizes, disposable plastic lunch boxes and cups and plastic pipes for various uses.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Rangnang Disabled Soldiers' Essential Plastic Goods Factory one day in May 2017.
He encouraged the honoured disabled soldiers and showed warm love and benevolence to them, Lecturer Kim Hyang Bok at the Korean Revolution Museum said and continued:
"That day the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un asked first about the health of the employees of the factory. An official answered him. Kim Jong Un said he felt relieved to hear that all the honoured disabled soldiers of the factory were in good health and they come to work every day.
Looking round the factory, he showed special love for the honoured disabled soldiers. And he took kind measures to send a bus to the factory for their commuting."
Looking at the goods produced at the factory, Kim Jong Un praised the honoured disabled soldiers for producing perfect packing materials that suit the likings of the people and can guarantee the quality and cultural and hygienic demand of the foodstuffs and sending them to the foodstuff factories in the city of Pyongyang and the provinces. And he said laudable is the working manner of the honoured disabled soldiers.
He told officials to spare nothing for the honoured disabled soldiers, a treasure of the country, and take good care of their life so that they can do their work well in good health.
Keeping his great trust and love in their hearts, the honoured disabled soldiers are invariably going along the road for the country and people as they did during their military service.
