Pyongyang, November 19 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, paid congratulatory visits to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office of the DPRK on Nov. 18 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the judicial and prosecution organs.

The officials of the judicial and prosecution organs were filled with great joy and excitement of greeting the most honorable and glorious moment to be cherished by them all their lives at a time when they were looking back with pride upon the brilliant history in which they have staunchly defended the cause of our Party in the long historic journey with their worthwhile reputation as reliable legal defenders of the Party, the revolution, the socialist system and the lives and properties of the people.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was greeted respectfully by senior officials of the Supreme Court and the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office on the spots.

When Kim Jong Un arrived, the participants broke into thunderous cheers of "hurrah!" with great emotion of receiving Kim Jong Un , the supreme representative of the mightiness and dignity of our great state, in their institutions.

There were ceremonies of hoisting the national flag of the DPRK.

Kim Jong Un conveyed congratulatory messages to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the judicial and prosecution organs.

On the occasion of the significant founding anniversary of the prestigious law enforcement organs of the DPRK, he warmly congratulated and encouraged all the officials of the judicial and prosecution organs who are devoting themselves to carrying out the important revolutionary tasks of defending the state and the people with the sacred legal right granted by the Party.

He said that since the judicial and prosecution organs of the DPRK were founded as the fortress of securing the people's power and legal weapons for building a democratic, independent and sovereign state at the time of building a new Korea, they have developed into powerful law enforcement organs of our socialist state, adorning the whole course of 80 years with glorious merits true to the Party's ideas on Juche-oriented judicial and prosecution work.

The annals of our revolution, which brought about the precious victories and miraculous successes unprecedented in history, are clearly associated with the feats of the judicial and prosecution officials who have devoted themselves to accomplishing the socialist cause, sacrificing their all in the difficult legal struggle whether in grim days or in peaceful days, he said. He added that it is the great pride of our Party to have such an upright and powerful rank of law enforcement officials.

The period of comprehensive development of our state, which marks a great watershed in socialist construction with gigantic changes and steady leaps, also serves as a new heyday for the judicial and prosecution organs, he said, stressing the need for the officials of the judicial and prosecution organs to remain faithful to their class duty as defenders of the Party, the revolution, the country, the people and the socialist system and make tangible results in the work for the prosperity of the country and the well-being of the people, bearing deep in mind the heavy mission and responsibility they have assumed before the times and history.

Expressing expectation and belief that all the officials of the judicial and prosecution organs would further strengthen the socialist legal system by thoroughly applying the ideas of the Workers' Party of Korea and usher in a heyday of building Juche-oriented justice and thus continue to perform valuable feats and display the honor in the sacred struggle to firmly defend our ideology, system and single-minded unity, he had a meaningful photo session with them.

All the participants chanted the slogan of single-minded loyalty, reflecting the unshakable pledge to further glorify the honorable history and tradition of establishing solid legal foundations for building our dignified state under the leadership of the great Party and reliably guarantee by law the socialist construction which is developing onto a new stage of upsurge. -0-
