One day in December 2019, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Yangdok Hot Spring Resort nearing completion.
Going around some places of the resort, he said delightfully to the accompanying officials that an unheard-of multi-functional resort came into being in that mountainous area that had been quiet and tranquil for ages.
And he highly appreciated the feats of service personnel of the People’s Army, saying that they fulfilled their mission and duty as not only the defenders of the country and creators of the people’s happiness, but also the pioneers of new civilization.
After a while, he asked an official who he planned to invite to the first-term recreation. The official replied that he thought of inviting labour innovators or meritorious scientists. On hearing that, he was lost in thought for a while.
He then told the officials that the Party was going to ensure the parents, wives and children of the solider-builders engaged in the resort construction would enjoy the first-term recreation at state expense, adding that if then they would be very pleased.
Looking around the officials, he continued: Not a few number of service personnel have been engaged in the project, so a term of recreation will not be enough and, even if it requires some more terms, it is needed to make their flesh and blood have a good time without fail.
Thanks to his concern, recreation for the families of the service personnel was arranged and they came to enjoy their time as the first visitors to the resort.
