Different areas of the country are stepping up preparations in earnest for the operation of their new regional-industry factories, including the assembly and installation of equipment.
In parallel with the construction of the new factories, such projects as the manufacture of equipment for different production processes, training of skilled workers and securing of raw materials are being simultaneously carried out.
Equipment-making units have introduced advanced technologies to speed up the processing of parts and the manufacture of equipment according to each project and process.
While putting primary efforts into increasing the proportion of homemade equipment to be fitted in new factories, officials and scientists of different units have solved technical problems arising in the design and manufacture of the facilities.
Up till now, hundreds of kinds of facilities have been made on a high qualitative level.
In line with the completion of equipment, arrangements have been made to promptly transport the facilities and their parts and the assembly and installation of them have been conducted in a three-dimensional way.
Provinces, cities and counties have assembled and installed the facilities as soon as they and their parts arrive to carry out trial production.
Substantial progress has also been made in the training of skilled workers and the supply of raw materials.
Theoretical study and technical courses have been run briskly at central and regional scientific research units and light industry factories for those who are trained to be skilled workers of the new factories according to occupational and business categories and thereby lots of technicians and skilled workers across the country have become well versed in their sectors and production processes.
Cities and counties are concentrating efforts on gathering and safely storing grain crops, sugarcane, rapeseed and other oil-bearing and sugar crops, while gathering wild fruits in mountainous areas in time to secure sufficient amounts of raw materials.
Officials and working people of relevant units are showing greater enthusiasm in the efforts to realize the intention of the Workers’ Party of Korea that set the construction of regional-industry factories as an important undertaking for hastening regional rejuvenation.
