Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Message of Condolence to Russian President and Extends Sympathy to Russian Embassy

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), sent a message of condolence to Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation, on December 8, as regards the demise of Comrade Aleksandr Ivanovich Matsegora, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the DPRK, who passed away on December 6, 2025.
In the message, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed deep condolences to Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the leadership of the Russian Federation and the bereaved family on behalf of the DPRK government and on his own behalf over the sudden demise of Comrade Aleksandr Ivanovich Matsegora, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the DPRK.
Comrade Matsegora was a close friend and comrade of the DPRK people who devoted his whole life to the development of the DPRK-Russia friendly relations for the past 30-odd years, he noted, adding that the course in which the DPRK-Russia relations have developed into the strong alliance of today is clearly associated with the devoted efforts of Comrade Ambassador A. I. Matsegora who dedicated all his inexhaustible enthusiasm to the realization of the intention and will of the leaderships of the two countries.
The sudden demise of Comrade Ambassador A. I. Matsegora at this time when the development of relations between the DPRK and Russia has entered a crucial historic phase is indeed a heartrending news and a great loss not only to the Russian government and people but also to himself and to the people of the DPRK, he said.
Although Comrade Ambassador Matsegora left us regrettably, his noble life devoted to the militant friendship of the two peoples of the DPRK and Russia and to the accomplishment of the common cause will shine forever and be immortal in the minds of the peoples of the two countries, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said, sincerely hoping that the pain over the loss will be removed and that peace be restored in the minds of the bereaved family as soon as possible.
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un extended deep sympathy to the Russian Embassy over the demise of Comrade Matsegora.
